The Guernica Battalion. Memory and intimacies of the Northern Campaign 1873-1876

The young Valladolid cadet Palacios travels to our land with the triumph of the First Republic to join the defenders of the traditional Monarchy and its King D. Carlos VII. Here he will enlist in the Guernica Battalion, where he will have as comrade Tomas de Muzquiz. A beautiful description of our land in which it intermingles, "episodes of trips, itineraries, scenes of bivouac and canton, fighting and blockades, more or less celebrated figures of the Carlist camp, love and affairs and other intimacies ...", by Santiago M. Palacio, who probably followed Muzquiz's memoirs for writing.
