Swearing of Mr. Carlos VII in Guernica.

On July 3, 1875, the last swearing in person of the Vizcaya charters was held under the Guernica Tree, an event that had not happened since the Catholic Monarchs. The Carlist suitor D. Carlos de Borbón, seventh of his name, swore before the representatives of Vizcaya.
For this reason, D. Carlos instituted a commemorative medal of said act, a medal that should be made of iron and that would be given to a series of Carlism heroes. The medal was never cast, nor was it distributed.
The history of Vizcaya thus reflects this event.
